Its under her direction that the whole standards of higher education has come down!

MQA or LAN have never really improve the quality of education in our universities. It is just another 'political merru go round'
I can bet you all even with her heading the UKM as VC and her past experience in LAN...UKM will not go any better.

You must appreciate the fact that the quality of our universities education has come down to political interference and social malalignment.

Tell me, why before without Sharifah or Rafeah our Universities were really high standard?

EVERY ONE KNOW THE ROOT OF ALL THE CAUSES IN THE DECLINE.
Tok Pa knows, Kit Siang knows, AAB knows

So stop pulling the wool in front of our eyes too many times...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12123329.post-1155533225895784322006-08-14T13:27:00.000+08:002006-08-14T13:27:00.000+08:00And don't forget ... what's the deal with swapping...And don't forget ... what's the deal with swapping the birth mother of the soon to be MQA with the head of UKM.

If you ask me this musical chair rearrangment bodes ill for quality in higher education in Malaysia.Does he know more than her?

Tok Pa said that Dato Sharifah finished 90% of the work of MQA bill and he is to complete the other 10% by going to Parliament to convince the Dewan about it.

Then what happens Tok Pa. You have a bill which is now passed to become an Act but you do not have the someone who came up with this brainchild to see it through its teething problems because you Tok Pa did a silly thing ,, you removed her ...for God knows what reason.

What's the rush of making her VC...give her time to see this through, make it strong before you rock the boat for ...no apparent reason.

What will happen --- without the REAL captain of the MQA is ...the new wine in old bottle syndrome will be imminet... no real change in the quality assurance body LAN.. and no real change in quality assurance processes in higher education in MalaysiaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12123329.post-1155525591510796192006-08-14T11:19:00.000+08:002006-08-14T11:19:00.000+08:00...the end result is still the same....back to sta......the end result is still the same....back to status quo!...

You know it, they know it, everyone know it...

Given time everyone will forget!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12123329.post-1155349898358336552006-08-12T10:31:00.000+08:002006-08-12T10:31:00.000+08:00Pak Lah's football analogy was quite a joke. When you are already a dozen goals down after "the first 10 minutes", i think the result is a foregone conclusion.

As for the recent months' MOHE fiascos, after trying to whitewash the facts, then setting up panels of inquiry, the end result is...?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12123329.post-1155306612741964662006-08-11T22:30:00.000+08:002006-08-11T22:30:00.000+08:00If we are to use our PM's smart analogy of "first ...If we are to use our PM's smart analogy of "first 10 minutes in a football game," then i think it is indeed too early to judge whether Tok Pa is sincere in reforming our already in bad shape education system or not. But all the evidences so far are pointing to the opposite.

ALthough it is true that a minister depends on reports by his subordinate, but a minister should have the wisdom to judge as well! I don't see such wisdom when he declared that there is nothing wrong with the UPM textbook. And he only pulled back the textbook after the PM ordered him!

Secondly, he had been very ineffective in dealing with all those issues surrounding the education system. He took some one week after the "clash" in UPM to deal with it. Has he not read any newspaper or watch television? Even a commoner knowed what happened in UPM, especially after the students lodged complaints.

It is sad that as a Malaysian, i no longer see any hope to our country to compete globally. Almost all our ministers are corrupted with the thought of maintaining their own positions rather than working for the benefit of the country. I really don't want to say goodbye to Malaysia.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12123329.post-1155304469534784812006-08-11T21:54:00.000+08:002006-08-11T21:54:00.000+08:00Wah!! Are they really an asset or liability to our universities and education system?

No wonder with so many 'professors' like these, we have so many mess

Sometime ago I remembered a former VC at UM telling about the existence of Professor kangkong and Bayam

If only our 'professors' make public thier distinguished peer reviewed papers or books, then we will all be very happy and proud of them. As it is now calling them officially as ' professors' make my hair stand...

Halle lujah!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
