Much ado about 6000RM per school

Saw this summary in the Star pointing out that the major Chinese dailies gave coverage to the fact that RM1.4 million was disbursed to 248 Chinese schools for refurbishment projects last year. This works out to roughly 6000RM per school per year which probably can refurbish one or two toilets. Didn't Pak Lah's secondary school in Penang get an RM20 million disbursement for a facelift sometime last year?

ROFL. Even spin doctor can't say much about this. For some school, RM600 is not enough to pay for 2 month utilities.

Not to mention that any RM6,000 job will be billed at least RM30,000. Remember the ones uncovered by Ong Tee Keat?

Wah, the BN government is soooooooo generous! Chinese parents and non-Chinese parents who sent their children to Chinese schools must be eternally grateful to the BN government. Don't forget to vote BN in the next GE.

MCA and Gerakan are bragging that due to their tireless efforts, the SRJK(C) schools get RM6,000 a year.

Things like these shouldn't need to be publicise and celebrated. Schools should not need to fund raise for desk and chairs, school halls and other facilities. All schools under the KEBANGSAAN banner should be well equipped!!

i have to agree on silent me not. This is the time for integrated education not segregated.

Anyway to average every school is truly unfair, as there are new school (no need maintenance) and older school (need lots of maintenance).

so why put them all together?

u know never mind special rights for the bumis, i was reading an article in the star website about the boy who survives on RM1 a day and the education centre who says that they'l accept whatever payment their parents give, how about these people who want a better future but receive no government funding whatsoever and those anak dato's and anak orang kaya who get scholarships although they can very much afford it, such hypocrisy, not surprising but still disappointing!!!

Do you think all those rich people have conscience? If they do. they would not apply or reject the scholarship!

As those people who award the scholarships in return of favour is booking their seats in hell!
Amen!
