Here's wishing a very happy Deepavali to all our Hindu readers and friends as well as a Selamat Hari Raya to all our Muslim readers and friends. We hope that everyone will find this unique joint celebrations an opportunity for Malaysians of various religion and ethnicity to understand each other.
And I'm certainly looking forward to all the rendangs and lemangs from my family's neighbours and friends back in my own kampung in Batu Pahat. Yummy :)

Tony,
Dont forget to come to my house this Raya. My mother makes beautiful rendang. Dont forget to bring Aj Piau and Learn From History too
Thank you very much for your kind, generous, and mouth-watering invitation, black mojo.
Best wishes for a happy holiday to you and your family.
It's very sad to read blogs these days, as they are predominantly negative in nature. They depress human spirits. Very very few have the 'feel good' factor that uplifts human spirits.
Until and unless the ruling government takes actions to remove the mother of all discriminatory practices that permeate all levels of our society, we will always encounter the same old problems again and again, despite all the comments in this 'Education in Malaysia' blog.
Enjoy your long holiday, readers.
