Just a short one. Pak Lah is in London now and presented a check worth 50,000 pounds (350,000RM) to the LSE, one of my alma maters, for the creation of a Malaysian room. Read about it here and here.
The LSE has been associated with many distinguished Malaysians including the likes of the late Dr. Nordin Sopiee, the late Dr. Ishaak Shaari, Azman Yahya, Munir Majid and Yong Teck Lee. You can see a list of active alumni here. Not in the list of active alumni, two politicians who graduated from the LSE - Minister of Education, Hishamuddin Tun Hussein and Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mah Siew Keong.
P.S. I think I didn't pay my annual dues so I'm not on the list.

Was there, no big deal. All the young Malaysian students there just want to take picture with Pak Lah (for their future office, no doubt).
Hishamuddin was from LSE? LSE really has lost some shine.......
Anyway, getting into LSE for undergraduate studies is as easy as ABC. I would have gone there if they have courses that I like.
Another "achievment" from Malaysia besides contemplating to pull teh-tarik in the space knowing there is no gravity.
A lot of small projects could be carried out locally with RM 350K .
Do you all think wasting resources is a sin ?!

don't fret. this money is from LSE alumni (malaysian). pak lah is just there for show only.
if RM350k is really going to be put to good use, i'd suggest they donate it to the johor banjir fund. 350k for an already existing room for it to be named "malaysian room", lolz. fortunately i'm not one of those flood victims.
a whopping RM350k? gosh.. now dun tht make anyone wonder where's the government priorities are?? The rakyat screaming for food, shelter, clothes and emergency funds in Johore and we've got the leader of this country flying all ard the world making headlines but not getting their act right at home?? WTF is going on??
The money is not from the gahmen lah.............
Don't our head of government has anything better to do ?
I am sure LSE would have been equally happy to accept the fund via a TT Bank transfer, no fuss, quick and efficient.
PM was in London......
